I have an 11 GS A6 when i'm in a parking lot and turn the wheels hard right or left to get out of the parking space the vette starts doing a hoping, or jumping action...it also does it when i turn hard trying to get in to a parking space.
I have checked the power steering fluid and it's normal, there are no leaks, the power steering cooler is in tacked.
I don't even get a service light to come on.
I'm that close to take in for warranty work, but i just hate the jack asses that work there...
How about if I use a smaller tire, like a 255/265 tire, since every one says it's the 275/35/18 that are causing the problem...I don't track the vette, I had my alignment shop install a street alignment so I could get more mileage out of my OEM Goodyears. So far so good on the mileage dept...
I fixed a part of the problem when I change my wheel alignement for a less agressive one to get a smoother drivability and save my front tires. It is not perfect, I still feel it but less.
doubt changing size will help any at all. besides you MUST stay within a certain percentage smaller front than rear or you will start to get Traction Control complaints on dash. too small a diameter or too large a diameter and TC errors

it ain't gonna change, I had 265's on mine and it still did it. My wifes vette has 245s and does it.
All 'Vettes do it, it's a combination of tire size and steering geometry. You might try an alignment by a professional shop to dead center of the factory specs (no plus or minus allowed) but even after an alignment you will still have some scrub.
Damn you go figure on a $ 60, 000 Dollar Super car, Chevy's pride for crying out loud, and a ford crown vic turns on a dime with out a hop, jump, or a sqeel. Maybe the c7 has corrected the issue...
Mine did it when it was a bit cool out, and when I was running the F1 Supercar runcrap goodyear tires.
When I bought new tires (Firestones) no noticeable jumping in the same conditions.
