Default Cam swap problems

Hi,

I did a cam swap and have ran into a few problems. 1st the car is untunable because it keeps going back to running rich after the car is tuned. I was told this is due to the cam shaft position sensor. So I replaced the sensor, had a buddy at GM hook up a tech II to do a relearn now the tech II cant find the sensor. I was later told it may be the harness. My mechanic told me that he couldnt see how it could be the harness because he only touched the plug. Has anyone had this problem??? The car also has a crap ton of blow by and it smokes. It still has decent dyno numbers 447hp 427Tq. If any one could help me I would greatly appreciate it.

Oh yea and it is also hard to start.

"A ton of blow by and smoke" I would start there as your first clue. Sounds like you are trying to tune an engine with a more serious mechanical problem. Get the engine fixed first, and then tune it.

did you change the cam gear while doing cam and are you sure you have the right cam gear in the car?
