Default Changing differential output shafts

Just received some DSS output shafts (DSS) to put in my 06 Z06 rear diff. If I get the covers off the diff can I get in there to change them out without altering anything else? Any special tools needed? Thanks

Can't really help except to suggest you go over to the Z06 Forum and search or just ask. Based on this recent thread your answers are there, just have to find them:

I'm going to pull out the diff and take of the side covers this weekend. Once those are open I think I'll have my answer. Thanks

There is a clip that has to come out to get the shafts out. So you need to take the back cover and the side covers off and them the clip and then they should slide out.

The bearing races that hold the carrier in place are in the side cover, so when you pull it apart you need to be careful.
