Looking to install 2008 - 2009 Z06 rotors/calipers on my 69 Camaro. At the same time, I'm looking to put 18x8.5" wheels on the front. Does any of you know the rotor specs as listed in the site below:
That could be a tight squeeze. Rotors are 14 inches (355 mm) in diameter and 32 mm thick. They fit under the C6Z 18x9.5 wheel so you should be OK from a diameter stand point unless the inside diameter of the wheel barrels is less than the Z06 rim barrels. Your biggest issue will be making sure the offset of the wheels is correct so the calipers don't hit the back of the spokes. C6Z front wheel has an offset of 40mm. That means the wheel has ~ a 3.18 front space and 6.32 back space so your 8.5 wheel would need ~ 27.17 positive offset with ~ 5.32 back space. That still leaves the questions of how thick the spokes are and how they are shaped. I don't have a measurement on how far the caliper sticks outward but I know a wheel with the spokes bowed outward will have more clearance than ones that are straight or bowed inward. Clearance can also depend on how much of a radius there is where the spokes meet the barrel. Decreasing the offset from the 27.17 number would help but you need to know the wheel dimensions in full.
