sunvisor orange light on early c6's

sunvisor orange light on early c6's
I miss having the console and shifter illuminated like my c5. How would you wire the passenger bracket orange light to put on the later c6's , that didn't come with it. Also Would the c5 mirror work on the c6?

I've got a spare visor bracket, new, left over from our 2006. Considered putting it in our 2009 but people said there is no easy way to wire it. Let me know if you come up with something.

I was under the impression that it was like the hood light...the wiring harness is already there.....I have the light already so I have no way of checking though. Open it up and look for the wire and plug...

I just checked that the power is off to the sunvisor when the engine is off, so that is where I'll splice in through the header. Who cares if it is on during the day. I bought one off ebay for $25. Being use to the one in my c5 z06, it was pretty dark in my c6 driving all night from Detroit to Florida.
