Curious if anyone is running these for front tires? I have a chance to pick up a new set in 265/18 and am considering it. I have 305 Hankooks on the rear and get a little roadwalk with the stock fronts so curious if these would help. Also was wondering how noisy they were?
I have them! Just installed over the winter (February) and will be taking the car out for its first "real" run through local mountain roads on Wednesday. I have them all the way around and I have noticed that they seem to hook up much better than the original GY Supercars. (Z51) I did a couple of WOT's from first to second gear and the results were significantly better than my GY's. The GY's would break loose a LOT easier than the new ones. I was on my 3 set of GoodYear Supercar Runflats before I finally switched to these. (My car is a 2008 'Vert) Check with me after Wednesday for my final impressions on the "twisties" with these new tires. So far, I love 'em! Not noisy yet, but I have less than a thousand miles on them since installation.
They hold the road well from what I've experienced, they don't make a ton of noise. I can't comment on tread wear as I don't drive the car that much. The rears leave black marks on the road as long as I keep my foot in it, and they are round...which is nice.
With my setup I get wheel spin at the top of 2nd at around 70mph. Very controlable and consistant.
We used them on C5 Z06 and C6 Z51. They felt great at the street, but when my brother did a track day on a curvy road course at a warm day, they greased up and lost traction, wearing prematurely.
Their traction is not the best, but are pretty good for the price.
Thanks for the replys..... Anyone running these in the front with a different rear tire or a drag radial? I will be running a MT ET street at some point this year too. I will not be doing any road course with them. Just looking for something that I can have on the car all year and not worry about feeling shaky over 70 mph.

I had the bfg's in the front and nitto invo 345 in the rear and at 70 the car was all over the place, felt like it had a rear flat. Best to keep same brands front and rear. I went and switched the front bfg's to invo's and problems went away.
They are quiet for the first 10k and then noisy like runcraps after that. Traction goes south after that as well. If used for putting around they are fine.
I ran the car today out hwy. 151 from Candler, NC up to the Blue Ridge Parkway. I've run this road many times over the years so I am extremely familiar with my car's handling characteristics along that route. With traction control on and considering my driving speed and style, (1.04 g-meter reading) I experienced a LOT less computer interaction than previous runs with the GY F1 Supercars. (This portion of 151 is simply a shorter version of the Dragon at Deals Gap)
I'm not sure I'd ever mix tire brands/tread designs on a Corvette for street use.
At the dragstrip; no problem.
I have them as my dd tires and for track when it rains and cannot run the slicks. OK grip and wear, but I found them very predictable at the track. I have been at 160+ at the track with them and they were extremely stable at those speeds. As for cornering, they scream and let you know you are pushing them, but they never do anything unexpected with the car. Same thing for in the rain - you can feel the grip is not there, but you can at least finish the track day. Plus the tread pattern looks different if that really matters.
As for mixing brands, anything more that putting around town, I would not do it. Even though you have all the nannies on the car, different grip and flex characteristics would not be safe.
All that being said, if you do not get them, link me up with them as I am ready for a front set and those are my size.

I had those on another car and they were OK. I replaced my Goodyears with Michelin's new Super Sport tire. Now those are great tires! They ride great, handle great and appear to wear good.
Now I understand why the ZR1 comes with Michelin tires.
