Coolant Gauge Issue/Question

Coolant Gauge Issue/Question
Here latley my "Check Coolant Level" words come on but level is fine. Also intermittently the analog gauge as well as digit readout for the coolant temp won't be working and then it kicks in and readout/temp is fine. Any ideas for me? Some kind of sensor? Thanks

Likely a bad temp sensor.
Check this info from ChevyDave then click on the link at the end for more info:
it measures a difference in temperature reading based on engine coolant temperature and engine speed to determine if the cooling system has a "LOW COOLANT" condition. The DIC message stays on for two ignition cycles
worded a different way... The "Check Coolant Level" message is triggered by an algorithm that compares the rise in coolant temperature over a given period of time.
if you have issues, and they dont go away, its possible thermostat replacement may fix it, or..
if it persists, i assume that the calculation can be recalibrated, money will fix anything
running through the search function, i did come across this.. temp sensor..
