Corsa Xtreme Installed and Aligned
I replaced the stock exhaust last weekend with a Corsa Xtreme system (4in tips) on the stock H-pipe and I absolutely love the sound. As most other people have reported the initial install was quick and easy but the alignment was a real time killer. Tightening all the clamps without having something twist or move is nearly impossible. The key was having a second person with a straight edge checking the tips while I torqued everything down. After a few heat/cool cycles with trips around town it did move a little. I just finished realigning the tips and it was much easier the second time. I marked all the joints with a grease pencil first. Since I only had to make small adjustments, loosening one clamp at a time and then retightening after adjusting worked great. The passenger side tips are as close as I could get but the center tip is about 1/8in shorter than the outside. The adjustment to fix this is rotating the over axle pipe toward the center. I went as far as I could without having the pipe to close to the transmission. Any more and I'm sure it will rattle. Overall, Im very happy with the fit, finish and sound.
