Tried to test some 0-60 perfomance on my Z06 but felt like misfire or electrical error while at approx 5krpm. Might have been the traction control that behaves this way?
Not sure if it is the engine power that is reduce when wheelspeed occurs at such speed that the car can not brake enough to reduce it?
Thats all programmed into the system. Shut off the nannies with the button on the center console and that can help.
Also you can retune the car to do what you want (the cars have something called torque management which kicks in on shifts, and traction control situations)
Traction control uses torque reduction and brake application to control wheels that are spinning excessively. When wheel spin occurs at higher speeds (5K rpm is a higher speed even in low gear) traction control limits torque first before applying the brake at one wheel to limit wheel spin. It does that because torque reduction can react faster than turning on the ABS pump, switching the valves in the BPMV to apply pressure to the spinning wheel and finally for the brake at the end of the circuit to react and actually brake the wheel.
