Default Engine swap Security issue?

I recently dropped a 403 in my 06 m6 c6. Reconnected all grounds and etc. installed a ngk wideband,eboost2, digital fuel pressure, most I done underneath the dash is splice into the yellow wire in the Collum area to get my on switch for the guages. Well the car has the lamp with the security lock and car lighten up. I push the on button and everything shuts off for about 15-20secs then lights back up.. The battery is charged and I re-checked all my grounds and I'm clueless! Also replaced the fob battery

try locking and and unlocking the doors with the fob, with a jumpbox on the battery, if that don't work disconnect what ever you hooked to the yellow wire, make sure you didn't cut all the way threw maybe the brake interlock or clutch interlock got un hooked

I had the exact same issue with my 06 MN6 Coupe. It turned out to be the BCM.

It fails to initialize and wont allow the start sequence or starter to work.
Changed out the BCM and all was good. Dealer did it cause of the reprogramming that needs to be done.

I was stuck away from home and cycled the ignition switch from start to stop to ACC to start to stop to start to ACC to start,,,,,,,,,,,,,,and it finialy kicked over.

I also figured out that you can disconnect the battery, wait 2 min and reconnect it and it would start. It finally failed for good and would start. Pop started it and drove it to the dealer.

Hope its just the BCM but then again I also hope it isnt.... Its expensive!!!!

Good luck

Bill

OP, any chance the wire from the battery to the started got pinched and is grounded? I remember reading something along those lines.

Bill, for such a nice man, you sure have an electrical devil riding on your shoulder. Have you ever been hit by lightning? My goodness you have had tough luck electrically...

I'm taking my ecu to my tuner tomorrow and have him turn the VATS off. also I replaced the fob battery and the dude at autozone said the battery holder was loose? idk. I tried doing the bcm re-set but after a staggering 20mins the security light didn't come off. the bcm has power I used a check light and checked that out, fuses looked good. the battery is in the rear of the car but I'm getting power to the fuse box fine. This is the last thing stopping me from getting the car tuned!
