05 Corvette - Interior Swap Issue
Got my 05 about a month ago. It's got a Steel Gray/Black 2 tone interior. Never was a fan of 2 tone or lighter interiors, so I thought it would be simple to just get the car and swap to black interior.
I found an 07 Z06 that was totaled and bought black door panels, under steering wheel dash, center console, glove box, etc.
Now, the issue isn't installing, but while doing the glovebox, I noticed the 05's had the passenger side airbag built into it, versus the newer vettes didn't need it cause it would activate/deactivate depending on passenger weight.
Now, it seems like my black 07 glovebox won't work right? Can the 05 gloveboxes even be disconnected? The wiring looked a bit tricky and I haven't found anyone else running into this issue.
Any help would be appreciated. If I can't swap even with another 05 glovebox, Idk if I want to convert the rest to black and leave my glovebox gray lol.
