Default Headers, Which Ones

Looking at OBX about $800. or Kooks or Stainless Works, about
$1150. Which do you feel are the best buy for the money?
I now have a Calloway Honker cai and Corsa Sports exhaust. Any idea what the rear wheel horse power gain would be with the headers, exhaust and cai? Thanks for your input.

I went with the Texas Speed 1 7/8 with catless X pipe package for $750. Just another option for you to consider if on a budget.

I was looking at the TSP long tubes but the couple people I ask keep saying the famous " you get what you pay for" line and then try to get me to go ARH, LG or Kooks. No one will ever give me a legit reason to not go TSP.

I am perfectly with happy with what I chose. I am sure the people who spent 2x more than me are happy as well. I saved enough money getting the TSP setup to nearly pay for my fast 102.

Have you had your car tuned with the TSP's? If so how much hp are you making?

Never mind find your thread, I'm a 2008 LS3 M6 with tune only I'm making 387/364 so I'm hoping to make over 400hp with headers and a tune. Did you have any fitment issues?

The FAST 102 is a great mod for the LS2 - http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c6-t...st-intake.html

There will be no issue getting over 400 with most any long-tube header/x pipe combo you choose. There were zero fitment issues with my setup. I had the TSP setup done the same day as the fast 102, so unsure of what I actually gained from them as opposed to the 102. Whatever you choose, make sure to post up the results and sounds clips

although I run a Kooks / Corsa system, I have heard good stuff about the Texas Speed units and they are much better built than the China stuff. make a plan of mods and stick to it. congrats on your new ride.

Chevrolet, Dodge, Ford, and the majority of the LSx shops in the world choose ARH for good reason, Proven Results.

Get the cheapest ones that have a good reputation. They'll all make similar power/torque.

OBX/Texas Speed/XS Power

Those three can be had under 800 bucks, fit well, and make the same power as the 1500 dollar headers. Shop smart

Lol...what makes OBX "cheap crap"? Just because they're inexpensive doesn't mean they aren't good. I've yet to read about a single fitment issue and they're good for the same 25-30rwhp as every other header.

I'm saving up for some TSP headers myself. I'm going to have a shop put them in because I'd have no idea what I'd be doing and issues will happen. I've heard nothing but good things about TSP, I've read they fit better now than before if that counts for anything.

He had them on a C6 corvette? I've seen one set that leaked, but it was on an SRT10 Viper. I've never seen a bad set for the vettes.

We replaced a set of "cheap" headers last year. All the header tubes where they were welded to the flange had cracks in them, except for two. That could cause allot of issues. That would be another reason to not shop for price. The materials and the machines and the human touch are all expensive to manufacture. Imagine what they would cost if you had a one off set built.

OBX stainless with cats under $800. perfect fit, finish and beautiful welds.with ported Fast 102 picked up 65 rwhp all for under $2,000. you cant beat that. or you can spend $3,000. for other headers alone.your choice
