Exhaust tips??

I have a 2005 corvette coupe with Callaway cold air honker intake...soon to be tuned with Flowmaster exhaust. Question is...I want the car to sound just a little more meaner w/o dumping my wallet out and want to know if taking the resonator out of the muffler would make it any louder and how much louder? And being a Caliornia resident would it effect smog testing?

There is a thread about drilling holes, but it applies to the stock exhaust, I think.

It might be useful if you can find it.

I'll take a look. I did see someone mention drilling but don't recall if it was stock or custom. Thx

even with the intake you are likely to have problems with CA. emissions. Some folks find a used Z system & swap it over, from intake to exhaust tips.
