Have an 08 that went to reduced power mode and check engine light came on. Hooked up reader and got code PO601. Does this mean the PCM is bad. Anyone else with this problem?

it means PCM failure. what happened ? dead battery ?
try unplugging the battery letting it set for 30 minutes and reconnecting.

Put new battery in 4 months ago and keep battery tender on it. Was just driving down the road and engine light came on, then message popped up reading "reduced power", and then engine quit. Started right back up but quit four more times getting it home. Don't know what to do. Will disconnecting the battery fix problem?

You will have to tell us if disconnecting the battery fixed the problem.

The disconnect on the battery did not help. Still shows same code.
