Default steering wheel

I like the look of the 2012 steering wheel, I have a 2008. Can i just replace certain parts on mine or do I need to buy an entire 2012 wheel to get the look? Thanx for any help.

Pretty certain you will use your existing air bag but other than that must buy the new wheel.

OK I got the new wheel. Mine has paddle shifts and the new one does not. Can I just take the parts off my old wheel and install them on the new one?

Has anyone done this yet? My 08 wheel has a plastic cover on the back which houses the Paddle shift mechanism inside. My new wheel has no plastic cover, it's just leather on the back and it does not look like I can take the back plastic housing off of my 08 wheel and install it on my 2012 wheel. I might be able to cut into the leather backing and just directly install the switches that way. I don't have any pictures of an 12 model wheel with paddle shift so I'm not sure what it is supposed to look like. I would hate to cut up this New steering wheel only to find out I have ruined it I would rather just sell it and look for the correct part.
