Default C6 Lowering Kit

Hey everyone, this is my first time in this forum and I have to say, it is amazing

I have a 2009 convertible C6

I have installed the lowering kit from Eibach which replaces the spring bolts and tightened the new bolts to the max to get the max ride drop.
I have to say, the car looks ammazing!!!!

BUT, the ride quality is beyond description!!
it is like the springs, shock absorbers, wheels and chassis are all welded together!!!

driving on the high way is a nightmare. the car does not roll anymore on the road, it literally jumps....

Donno what to do

i want to lower the car but I dont want to go for a coil over.

May or may not be your issue but check this discussion for at least one idea of the problem.

is it possible that the cause of the horrific ride quality is that i did not do wheel alignment after i installed the new bolts????

I think you bottomed out the shocks. Your car must be pretty damn low. It's probably sitting on the bump stops. If you can bounce your car you'll probably see that the tires are flexing and your suspension is not moving an inch.

I don't know how alignment would cause what you described but.......you do have to do an alignment after changing ride height so.....may as well get it done and see what happens. Or wait till you put the stock bolts back then align.

you are totally correct. when driving it is like shocks have no give and take at all

as for the height, i was parking next to a 458 Italia and my car is much lower

Problem Solved.
installed the original bolts on the rear and tightened to the max without cutting the rubber.

took the lowering bolts, looked for the nearest waste bin and dumped them
