Default Upgrading Brakes

Im sure there is something on the forum but I am unable to locate exactly what Im looking for. I was wondering what is all needed to upgrade from base brakes to the Z06 brakes. I have rotors, calipers, and pads.

You need the Z06/GS hoses.

The base hoses are too short and have the wrong banjo fitting.

Many, maybe most, take the opportunity to install stainless braided hoses, just because.

I am for sure going to but steel braded on her. Wanted to make sure I didnt need any brackets or any hardware that isnt already on the car. As for fluid I have no clue havnt done research on that yet. What should I use?

There are quite a few to choose from. I like Motul RBF 600, but for a DD, like mine, it may be over kill. There is a lot of talk about the different fluids in this section - http://forums.corvetteforum.com/auto...roadracing-23/ Good luck with your mods!

I'm planning on doing the big brake upgrade to my base C6 too. With the wheel sizes you mentioned will your tire be sticking outside the wheel well?

Another question, as for the bolts that hold the caliper to the spindle, do I need to get different bolts or should the ones that are currently on the car work. Thanks
