Default Intake and Questions

I spent the greater part of an hour reading up and still am not clear on options. I have an LS3 '10 with manual transmission.

I can get an Airraid for a decent price and was considering it. I then start reading and have come to these vague conclusions...

1.) Intakes don't make much on a dyno but may in real world

2.) Be careful of the MAF with turbulence. How do you prevent surging issues?

3.) Be careful of oily filters they can screw up your MAF.

4.) Just forget any aftermarket one and throw on the LS7's intake which is basically the LS3 intake without the baffles.

Thoughts? Advise? I just don't know if it's worth getting. I'm throwing PFADT headers on the car next week and I had the option of putting this in as well before getting the car tuned. Help.

on the LS3 unless you are running a cam or a Fast, most folks are just opening up the shroud and using the factory stuff.

CAI have been known to cause trouble lights and other issues unless tuned.

1. Dyno is usually done with the hood up so it doesn't make a lot of difference if it's a CAI or has resticted flow.

2. Turbulence doesn't happen with most filters.

3.If it's an oiled filter just be carefull not to over oil it.

4. Good idea for a measurable gain, looks OEM so no Inspection problem too.
