Hi, I was wondering if some one can guide me on a good performance camshaft to put in my 2008 C6 LS3 manual 6sp, I dont mind if it idles a bit lumpy but it must start pulling from about 2,500 rpm.
There are a lot out there available but any info would be gratefully received. Thanks Ross
I think this is one that's just about what you're looking for. It sure woke up my friends C6 Automatic (with a gear ratio change too)

That cam is a reverse split turbo cam with a late IVC and is not what I would recommend with his goal of low end power. OP, where are you located and what all is done to the car so far?
On my 2005 (LS2) 6-speed, I had a 228/232 on a 115 LSA. Picked up great power with almost stock like drivability. Even passed smog here in California.
It is hard to say what is “best” because you need to decide what you are looking to get out of your car. For me, I wanted power but it needed to have smooth idle and pass smog. If those aren’t important to you, then you can get a more aggressive cam.

I live in New Zealand but thought I could get a better camshaft out of the states as freight is a minimal cost. My engine is stock LS3 and I was hoping the stock air intake and exhuast would be OK. I have got the specifcations on the above cam and will show my tech guy. 6sp with Z51 kit and I can only manage 12.8 but that was on runflats, havnt tried it yet on my new falkins

Gotcha, when you say stock exhaust do you mean manifolds? They will really limit the cam and I would atleast put on LS7 exhaust manifolds which may have been what the gentleman from California did to comply with the visual inspection. Otherwise if you're not bound by emissions then I would consider long tube headers like American Racing 1.875" as they will be beneficial in making the most power.
