This was answered before but I can't find where it was....
What year did the Z06 H pipe change? I tried to put 2013 Z06 mufflers on my 2006 and there was a bend required on the passenger side muffler to fit. I am going to look for the correct year H pipe and install it....the mufflers sit back too far and hit the frame, creating a very bad harmonic vibration throughout the car at resonance. Figure using the correct H pipe will cure that.
H-pipe won't fix the frame interference problem. I can only assume the rest of your '06 exhaust system is stock and you're trying to use '13 Z06 mufflers. Is that correct or are there other exhaust mods?

Nope..no other mods. We did reshape the right Z06 muffler tube to align with the H pipe. The left muffler is the one that hits the frame. 1/4 inch is all it would take to clear. I said in a previous post, maybe removing a 1/2 inch from the H pipe...but..a 1/4 inch would do it...then deepen the swedge so the tube can slide in further...that would give us the clearance and would not be that noticeable at the tail pipe.
Be much easier to just be able to replace the H pipe with a 2012 pipe, as I 'thought' that would work..I know the 2013 won't.
All of a sudden, I think the missing key piece of the puzzle must be that you're attempting to put the 3" Z06 pipe onto your 2.5" stock '06 H-pipe without any changes to the H-pipe.
If that's true, then yes, simply cut off some pipe to get the clearance you need.

If you are referring to the diameter of the pipe, the two tubes fit perfectly within each other, just like the old..only difference is the muffler pipe needs to go back another 1/4" into the H pipe..it can't as the dimples on the muffler tube prevent it. I am re-thinking the possible solution: perhaps I can cut a 1/4" off the end of the muffler tube, and flatten the protrusions, and the muffler should slide forward enough to clear the frame.
I was hoping to find an earlier H(X??) pipe..what, 2008-2012??, that would work with the 2013 Z06 mufflers.
Right now, the vibration at resonance isn't bad..only noticeable through the gears..in top gear, (automatic) no vibration at all....
