Default Switchback resistor question...

Guys running switchbacks, where did you mount the resistor? Instructions say do not mount to plastic. Everything in there is plastic. Do we even really need to use the resistors? Thanks

They will flash at a faster rate (burned out bulb indication) if you don't have them. I didn't mind it at first but it quickly got annoying. I put down a strip of metal tape and drilled some holes and screwed mine into the sides of the engine bay near the headlights. I also added a couple inches of wire to each resistor to help with the mounting.

They get fairly hot which is why you don't want them on the plastic but the tape insulates fairly well and I haven't had an issue for about a year now.
