Just questioning if my traction control is working. Talking to a friend and he made the comment on his 2010 corvette that you can't spin the tires unless you disable tractin control. I have a 2009 A6 and I can spin the tires pretty easily with traction contol on. I have no warning lights or codes but can anyone tell me if this is normal or do I have a problem?
That's normal. But if you want to test your TC, try spinning tires while on the brakes (burnout style) with TC on and doing the same thing with it off.
Thanks for the reply, but already found out! WOW!! I had a 2004 corvette and the traction control would hardly let you spin a tire so thought this one was broke! NOT, first time I tried flooring it from a standing start with traction control off....Holy ****! Smoked them thru 2nd gear had to let off was drifting sideways!! Yes it is working! Thanks all
Thanks Kelly,
Don't drive the car hard so never took off traction control before, but after driving with it off, I can tell it undoubtedly prevents accidents. I do love the car, it is the 6th corvette I have owned and by far the best one yet, maybe a c-7 in my future!
