For a while now, I would here a small squeak from the front end of the motor when first starting. It would only last a very short time.
Anyone had similar problem? Then 10 days ago I replaced the water pump on my 2006 6.0 L engine.
Now there is a squeak coming from the accessory belt or one of the pulleys. I replaced the tensioner pulley and still get the noise.
At idle there is no noise but increase the rpm and the squeak sounds. This noise disappears after the engine warms up.
I wonder if it is the after market belt I used after repacing the water pump. Got it from NAPA.
From what I have read and heard, the OEM part is junk.
Hopefully I can deal with it until I replace it with a better one during a cam swap. I always use a balancer tool to put mine on. I have the Hawk LS tool. Nice product.

did you check the length on the new belt? a weak tentioner can cause it to chirp, but I would suggest you look down to the harmonic balancer while the engine is running and make sure that it is not vibrating (they fail on some cars)
