Looking for Cam advice...
I am in the Chicago area and Speed Inc. recommends these 2 camshafts below.
SI5 (don't know specs)
-or-
SI5v2 camshaft 231/237 .617 .607 112LSA
Anyone running these? How do you like them. What numbers are they putting down? No heads as of yet for me but headers will go on prior to cam.
Any insight would be great, thanks

OP: What other mods do you have installed? If the answer is none, maybe try a FAST 102 intake manifold and a nice set of 1 3/4 headers, if you are looking to increase you low end HP/TQ. Good Luck with your mods!

You need to decide what you want to accomplish with the cam swap. Also, consider what you're willing to endure manners wise. A6 or M6? Is fuel eco a concern? Do you want a noisy/lopey cam? Mainly street or strip? What do you have for bolt ons now or what are you planning to add? Is a blower a consideration?
Pat G has a questionnaire that addresses most, if not all, of the things you need to consider before picking a cam. It costs 25 bucks to get his input. It's the best 25 bucks you'll ever spend on your car. A custom ground cam can be had for $365 delivered to your door. It usually takes less than a week between order and delivery. I HIGHLY recommend going that route. Cam swaps are a royal PITA if you do it yourself and expensive if you have it done. Do it once, do it right
