Default winter build! need some advise!

well I got the motor out of my 2005 c6 today, its got 109k on it, virgin motor so im planning on sending the block out to get checked and what not and doing a mild build, piston rings and what ever it needs. then im looking to make power, id like to keep the bottom end somewhat stock, as far as compression goes really. I wanna get a head and cam package, and a aluminum intake manifold. I like the fast ones but I heard there is some minor modifications to make them fit? someone can prolly clear this up. im doing a full exhaust, catless, HP tuners and injectors if I need them, sure ill prolly upgrade anyways. planning on doing a monster stage 2 or 3 clutch and a aluminum flywheel. this car will be driven a fair amount but not everyday to work or anything, just in the evenings after work and on week ends so im trying to keep it streetable to an extent. oh and I almost forgot, I wanna do a 100 shot, not sure if its gonna be wet or dry yet, maybe someone can point me in the safest direction lol. ill keep pics posted of the tear down and such. thanks!

the fast 102 will fit w/o modification and is a great mod for the ls2's.look into the trick flow 220 as cast heads and a good cam guy...I've been working w/ brian tooley on my next mods. good luck!

You have a long way to go to max out the fuel system!

Sounds like a nice build, but I'm wondering if you have the motor torn down that far, why not go to a 4" stroke crank..& have a 403 ci motor...

Mine is being done now with....

Callie 4" forged stroker crank

Manley forged Rods (H Beam)

Wiseco pistons

Ported and polished 243 heads

Melling oil pump

Kooks Headers (with cats)

Fast 102 intake

Cam custom grind from Cartek (in NJ)

They just finished a build almost the exact same, and it made 496 HP & 484 tq on the dyno with an automatic trans car..

If you look at the price of a forged LS3 short block from several different forum members, you may end up saving a bunch of money. Texas Speed, SGPD, etc all have package deals.

I also was going to go the Nitrous route.. "BUT" after the following incident,

I decided to go to MORE CI.. and am picking up my 403 ci Cartek motor on Wed. It has all the good parts..Callies Crankshaft 4" stroker. Manley connecting rods, Weisco pistons, all forged.... Melling oil pump FAST 102 intake.. etc...

I just don't like NO2, and thought by not going that route I'd be safer...

I put it on just in case i needed it, I dialed it in with the right plugs and jets, I run the NA everyday tune and spray C16 with the fuel cell, logged it read the plugs made the fuel jet change and did it all again while keeping the NA tune, I have never tried it at the track

No it looked like a Rod Bolt failed, and things went from BAD to TERRIBLE in 1 sec @ 6800 rpm

The new motor has all ARP bolts, and everything is "FORGED" i.e Crank, Rods, pistons...The only thing I don't know is the cam specs... but Julio told me "Just Shut Up and DRIVE IT!

I trust him with my life... & he had my almost stock C4 running 12.2 @ 110 with stock cam, heads, intake...

The car in the video was almost stock.. it had the stock internals.. I "THINK" it was just "it's time".. it had 45,000 miles on it and most were put on 1/4 mile at a time !!

Julio said this motor is good to 7500 rpm, but I told him to set shift points between 6800 and 7000... (Playing it safe)
