Default Header Help

Can someone give me some advice on how to finish off my exhaust system? Bought my Z51 2006 with stock manifolds and cats, 2.5" Corsa XO pipe, and extreme axle backs. Need to know if any LT header will fit up to the XO pipe? Also, I don't have the rear O2 sensors in the XO pipe, and from what I can tell most people still get a check engine light with the rear O2 sensors mounted in the XO pipe. So should I just coil up the post catalytic O2 sensors, turn off the Catalyst Test, the Post O2 Test, and all of the O2S sensor 2 engine diagnostics to avoid the check engine light? Thanks for the input!

Most Header companies require their own mid pipe.

The secondary O2 sensors must be tuned out whether you are using aftermarket cats or not.

I don't know about the Z51, but I just put a set of American Racing Headers with high flow cats and running them through Corsa Sport mufflers on my 2011 ZR1. I had to have extension wires for the secondary O2 sensors to reach the high flow cats, but I didn't have any codes or a CEL either. I have not had the ECM tuned either and the car runs and sounds great. I did disconnect the battery the entire time I was installing the headers. FWIW

Your Corsa XO pipe wont be used when you buy headers. The system you buy will include its own midpipe with cats or without depending upon what you buy. You will be able to specify the midpipe outlet size to mate with your existing mufflers. My 06 Z51 is configured with ARH longtubes, 3 x 2.5 catted midpipe, going into Corsa Sports.

Typically you will receive a new center section that houses the 02 sensors, not sure you will find a header to bolt to mid pipe. Width and connection point will play a role at this point. SW headers and mid will include the 02 extensions and all necessary hardware.
