So I ordered some Aeromotive rails that I've been assured will fit my stock intake. Part no. 14142, can't wait till they get here. I guess it's 50/50 if they fit or not? http://www.jegs.com/i/Aeromotive/027...FcZZ7Aod8X4ARg
Thanks very much for trying to help but unless I missed something in there they're dealing with a Fast 102 intake and that's what I'm avoiding. I talked directly with Aeromotive today and I think I have this all ironed out. I'll up date this in a few days for anyone else that want's to do this same thing. Rails should land this Friday and I'll go get the fittings I need tomorrow.
The Aeromotive fuel rails are the answer. It all worked pretty good. Had to play around with the fuel lines and fittings, moved the hot wire to the alternator so now it's out of the way. Changed the catch can from black to red and added a fuel pressure gauge. I'm pretty happy with the new look. For anyone else that wants to do this the rail part number is 14142
Be very careful with any of the rails with flimsy bolt downs. I know of several engine fires from the rails coming loose from the little crappy fast hold downs, and it looks like the aeromotive may not be much better.
I have RSI rails on my ls7. I don't like any of their other parts but the rails are fine. I also had a set of Dallas Performance Rails on it, they were the best fitting and looking rails but since I had two sets I sold those.
RSI rails, no cutting in the back for feed line, just have to use the aeromotive banjo fitting.
I was worried about that also but I've driven it several times now and no issues. The Aeromotive rails are recessed for clearance of the manifold hold down bolts, there's no extensions or any other parts in between the rail and the injector. I'm also lucky that I have two good friends here who are mechanics at the local Ferrari dealer here in Houston. I asked him to come over to go over the entire install. Got the thumb's up.
I didn't need to cut anything either.
