Default Fuel rails

I've been going back and forth with this for a while now. Seems like even Fast and Aeromotive are at a loss to tell me what I need to install their fuel rails on a stock OEM LS7 intake manifold. I'm only doing this for under hood Visual appeal, so I understand this is not a performance upgrade. I'd love to hear from someone that has done this mod in the past that can tell me what I need to get. I just don't want to buy a new fast intake just to install the rails for a 15 hp upgrade. Any help would be appreciated.

i put holley fuel rails on mine the otherday. had to cut a little hole in the firewall fiberglass to get the 90 to fit. but they come with everything u need. . some kits come with just rails , some come complete. u may need to buy a plug for the end of the rail. if u can tell me what kit ur looking at ill tell u what u need . are u running nitrous or anything extra to , ill need to know.

I tried 2 different models of the Fast rails. In both cases they would hit the hold down bolts of the manifold long before the injectors would even think about going in their holes. Also the angle of the injectors on the LS7 is almost vertical, the angle of the injector hole in the fast rail is more diagonal. No nitrous or any of that. I bought one set from Comp Cams, they sent me a different model number then the one I bought from Jegs. So they don't know either. Thanks for trying to help.

the black holley fuel rails will fit on a ls7 manifold.

make sure for the adapter to the stock fuel line it is not a push on type but one that slides over then screws together seen a few cars burnt to ground and russel even stopped making the push on style, some still out there for sale.

I need to have the red one's. I've got the fuel line thing worked out. I'd love to go with the Holley one's but have to have red one's. As you can see it goes with all the other things I've got going on here.

Just the stock LS2 intake when ported correctly is a big help.. & the FAST is GREAT !!!

meanjo...

Sorry I didn't answer your question in my last post.. maybe this will help..

The shop who did my motor (LS2) got the FAST 102 "AND" the red fuel rails from FAST.. they fit perfectly on my LS2 with the FAST 102.. however they (Cartek) also changed the injectors to 42 lb... I don't know if that had anything to do with the install of the FAST RED fuel rails..

Sorry I had to"edit" my post I thought my rails were flat on the top but they are round//

I just went out to the garage to see if my fuel rails are round (like the photo) or flat as I have seen on some LS3 cars... mine are exactly like the photo..but my motor is an LS2 .. not sure if that makes any difference...

Also in the photo it appears that those fuel rails are round.. mine are FLAT on the top with the word FAST inscribed on the top..
Hey Thanks
Apparently there's a big difference between LS2 and LS7 when it comes to these fuel rails. Like I said I think they look cool on the car but I'm not interested in buying a new Fast intake for 1K plus by the time your done for only about a 20 HP gain. But I find it weird that neither Comp Cams or Jegs can tell me what I need here.
Did I send you a message bitching about your post? If so I'm sorry. After I read it I tried to delete it, it sounded kinda bad and I'm not like that. I guess it snuck through anyway. So thanks for responding.

No prob about your reply...however if you want to be "positive" about what fuel rails to install you can call CARTEK in NJ they ARE one of the BEST shops around...their phone # is 908 317 4496 !

Trust me just ask anyone here on the East coast...if you do call ask for Julio (he is the owner) and only HE builds the motors.. they have 7 cars in the shop now getting everything from Headers.. to a Stroker motor like I had done...

From what you said in your post I get the impression you don't plan on going to the drag strip.. ( I drag race almost every weekend during racing season) If you don't plan on racing.. I'd say just port your stock manifold... OR if its appearance your after.. I don't know what to suggest as a FAST 102 costs about $850 and a to port your manifold is about $250...

Its your dime and spend it however you want.. I wanted a 10 sec car. and I'm pretty damn sure my car WILL run in the 10's in March when Englishtown opens up...

Good luck on whichever way you go..

In the for sale section SPEC C has RSI billet fuel rails that are listed as being for a stock LS7 manifold.

LS2 and LS7 injectors are different heights. On my LS3, I used Holley rails with FAST adapters. to get it all to fit.

I looked up RSI, appears they only sell parts for Vipers. Where exactly is this for sale section your referring to?

I really like the coil relocate bracket you got there. Did you make that or is it available somewhere? Never seen one like that. Your motor looks bad *** by the way.
I just noticed you alternator is black. Did you take it apart to paint it?

Look in C6 parts sale/wanted forum. Thread heading is--Katech, Fast, Nick Williams, RSI--forum member name is Spec C. Last entry was at 1:19 today so ad is on page one of C6 Parts Sale/Wanted section. He has the RSI fuel rails pictured that he says are for OEM LS7 manifold. Hope this helps.

Took the alternator to a shop and had them take it apart and put it back together. The part that I think is really cool is the alternator mounting bracket. A forum member machined it all out to look really cool, but it doesn't show up in the pictures.

You can get the valve cover made with whatever you want on them and they come with the relo kit. call Travis or Vince at westbenddyno.com

I want to thank everybody for the kind reply's and offers of advice. I'm still however trying to find someone that has actually done this on their car. Until then I'm not going to believe this can be done.
I think it's like a ghost
