Default Patrick g (eps camshaft)

Wanted to let every one know that doing business with PATRICK G was great. I purchased a 234/242 630 -609 eps cam from Geoff and after testing it at the drag strip i was a little dissapointed with the power it was makeing. My small cam from texas speed was a 228/228 588-588 an it had run 10.94 @124.69 well the eps only went 10.93 @121.65 so i was not too happy ... I had read some post somewhere else about Patrick G and the great tunning he had done on lots of ls1s and ls2s so i gave him a call. Well to my surprise he helped me out a lot . Had me send my current tune to him and he looked at it and tweeked the heck out of it. Only took him a day to get back with me and em me a new tune... I havent had a chance to wot at the track because thier all closed till jan. but i can already say the daily driven part of the tune is just awesome. Cant wait till the track opens so i can really see what it does. IF you are looking for someone who knows what he is doing , dont hesitate give patrick a call. Im so glad i did. Dont get me wrong my tunner is good but partick knew exactly what this camshaft needed . Two heads were better than one in my case..................

Yeah, I worked with Patrick on cam selection for an SCCA Street Mod LS1 cam with LSL/LXL lobes. Worked out great. Car picked up a lot of low-mid range TQ and lost no HP over the previous Texas Speed Torquer cam.

Curious what the DA was both runs? Also any dyno graph overlays and any other changes made? How's the clutch feel at the end of the run?

A big cam like that will need a great head for airflow and a big bump in compression to restore the low end.

Patrick is great at cam specs

Default Patrick G

My ls2s 60 ft with the small cam were 1.46 range and with the big cam 1.45 range, da was almost the same ........ Big cam was quicker from low to mid range than began to drop off,....... Small cam made same to a little more power on the mid to top . as a result in the mph being 124.67 down to 121.45. Patrick found the engine tune to be off some what in the spark and knock tables and also in the timing. Tranny needed major adjustments so we shall see ...............jan 12 first track testing day of the new year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah that doesn't add up, sounds like it was pulling timing up top and that's why it was slower...time will tell, report back
Did you raise the shift points with bigger cam?

Default shift points

Yes we did raised them to 6850 ,,,,,,,,, Patrick G said he found the spark tables still set at stock , and the knock sensors set at stock also. So he had to adjust the both of them. Hopefully this will wake up the ls2 and bring a smile to my face ........ Cost on this setup so far just to install the camshaft and both tunes and dyno time is $1500.00 so i could use some good news ........LOL
