Part store or dealership should be able to tell you what tread is stock and then get a line with correct fitting so you can compare to what you have and see which line is not correct.

Can't a dealership or parts store supply a line that is a replacement part for you car so you can check the threads?

The only two thread from the factory are M10 x 1.0 Inverted Flare (IF) or Bubble that I'm aware of. *repairs not withstanding

The C6 is all IF that I've seen. Look inside the HOSE end and you'll see a small center cone facing UP at you- convex.

The C5 hardlines are bubble. The Bubble flare looking into the hose will be tapering down- concave.

An excellent example: http://www.slalom4me.com/images/jpg/...re_Inv_ISO.jpg
*This is the hardline end. The HOSE end will be as noted above to mate with it.

I too have had issues tho with GM line being over tightened at the factory with complaints of ss hose not being correct on other platforms. Yes they are correct. The issue seems to be that the threaded nut is soft and when compressed the nut swells up in the female hole (did I say that?) and is then too big to fit into the end of the new flex line. Some time with a file on the NON threaded portion nearest the end fixes it. And..don't get the filings into the hose...

The Z06 brake lines are slightly longer than the non-Z06 brake lines.

If you use Z06 brake lines this is a simple bolt-on conversion.

If you are using Z06 wheels you will have no clearance problems. If you are not using Z06 wheels, there are only a few non-Z06 wheels that will clear the Z06 brakes. The TSW wheels generally do, and clearance has to do with the wheel offset, not just the wheel diameter...
