Default Is it possible

My brothers buddy bragged for the longest time about how much faster/better his grand sport was in comparison to my base coupe. The comments didn't bother me at all, I am completely happy with my coupe and haven't even been able to put any mileage on it to date.

I have an 08 and he has a 12 model, both A6s. We both have Halltech killer bee w/hive and tuned by the same tuner during the same week. He has NPP and catted LG streets. I have LG super pros and Borla Stingers. According to my brother the cars perform dramatically different, the point where his buddy no longer talks trash. They only did a few spirited runs about a week ago just to test out the new mods. He stated the biggest difference is when my car hits third gear, it breaks traction...chirping the tires.

I know the super pros have a better merge collector and my system is a full three inches including the Stingers, could this be the lone factor in performance difference? Any inputs would be great. Thanks!

your car is lighter so therefore with the same power it should be faster. assuming that you have the same reaction times and your tires are in similar shape, he should have more traction, thus less wheel spin. if your tires are older, that works against you.

We both have a6s and his has the performance ratio for the a6s. As far as options go, neither of us have all the bells and whistles such as Nav, hud, etc, etc. I was surprised when I looked inside of his and they were identical. Seats, interior, everything was the same. How much weight would you guys estimate was saved by doing the full exhaust with no cats (gutted).

What tires would you guys recommend for a non wide body c6? Would you recommend going with a 295 or 305?
