Default Need Advice and Guidance

Ok guys so I absolutely hate to bring up this over asked question but I have researched many past threads and still am just undecided.

I currently own a 2008 m6 ls3 C6 with only mods being
-1 7/8 headers
-Off road X
-Tune
-Cold air intake

Im looking to get a Cam installed by a reputable shop here in town but I am just torn between what cam to choose.?

I originally wanted to get the LG 6x3 because of the power it made and the great lopey sound!

but have too many ppl telling me about PTV clearance with stock LS3 heads. the car has barley 10k miles and really don't want anything that is going to be extremely risky especially! PTV Clearance.

Im looking for something that would make around 480rwhp and don't really care much about drivability the car will be used once a week if that and will see a couple track days, I actually enjoy the aggressive lope and don't mind the surging much.

I will also have the shop change out to these parts as well to

-5/16" diameter 7.400"Chrome molypushrods
-BTR .660 Lift Extreme dual spring kit with chrome moly retainers
-katech c5-r timing chain
-HD timing chain dampener
-Melling hi volume oil pump
-APR bolt kit

If any of you guys can give me any guidance as too what cam you are using on your ls3 or what you would suggest that would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

bump[/Q Call Comp. Cams & give then all your information & performance you want & they will advise you of proper cam choices, so you will know that its safe to run. Then ask the shop you pick to order the cam or if they will allow you to supply it. Would advise that you buy other valvetrain parts from them, so everything is compatible.

Call up Brian Tooley. Tell him what you have and then what you would like. The customer grind cam I got from him for my SS netted me 72HP, some mean lope, mild surging and the car would rock at stop lights. The man knows what he is doing and listens to his customers for sure.

yeah..custom grind is the way to go for your needs. that person will also let you know what valve train parts to purchase so everything plays well together. good luck!
