Default ZO6 manifolds on a base?

Sorry for the dupe, I should have used eh search first, mods can delete

Are the Z06 manifolds and catted pipes are direct bolt on for a base 2005?

My plan is to mount the Z06 manifolds and catted pipes and port the stock intake and port stock TB and I already have a CAI/Callaway Honker, plus add a new cam with @ .600 lift cam with dual springs, UD pulley and call it done.

I figure this is about the best budget build I am willing to do on this car for now.

If you have the M6 the entire Z06 exhaust will pretty much be a bolt on without any problems. If you have a A4 like me the three inch pipes are a bear to get in with the A4.

The exhaust manifolds alone are not worth much by themselves the entire exhaust with a tune is a much better route.

If you want to use the Z06 exhaust, the combination of the fast 90, callaway, complete Z06 exhaust & tune really wakes the car up.

The inclusion of a cam would work much better with a set of headers.

I have a full Z06 exhaust from manifolds to exhaust tips on my '05 coupe; I recommend you invest some extra $$$ in new connection hardware and gaskets; and don't forget to pick up some O2 extension wires since the stock O2 wires will not reach to the Z06 O2 sensor locations.

Getting the Mild2Wild is also a must...

Im getting ready to do this mod and am putting together a list of extra parts needed - do you need extensions for all the 02 sensors (front and rear sensors) and what length extensions are required?

Thanks!

EDIT:

After comparing pictures of the two, it looks like the shorter extensions (usually 24") will provide more than enough distance for the front and rear sensors

Better check on whether or not the ZO6 cats will bolt to your existing mid pipe. If not you will need a ZO6 mid pipe also and either ZO6 axlebacks or cutting and welding to another axleback.

If you are going to do the manifolds and cats, you have to do the mid pipe too....if you do that to make it 100% bolt on you have to do the mufflers. If the car is a manual trans car it is all a bolt on affair and you just need 02 extensions for the front 02's as the wiring harness on the car is different than the Z06.

Auto cars, like was stated above take some work.

Most muffler shops can make the Z06 mid pipe work with your stock mufflers if you need to. Just need to change the angle slightly and neck it down to 2.5".
