you wont need to stuff a 305/35/19 tire on the car.it is less than an inch wider than the stock 285 and works perfectly for me.with filmjays reasoning your good to go.tire is 3/8's of an inch wider on each side of rim
Is the Nitto NT05R 305/35/19 good enough on the street to make a 200 mile trip and if you happen to get caught in rain safe if you drive with caution? Is Nitto the only choice we have in a 19" wheel size or the best?I had rather ask a Dumb question than make a Dumb mistake.
This is my 1st Corvette and I know nothing about the DOT Drag Radials, but have been Drag Racing for quite a while and have a good knowledge of Drag Slicks and which compound & which tire is best if anyone needs any help on them.

I am referring to the Mickey Thompsons.they will do all you have asked about.

You will be ok with the NT05R in rain as long as you don't drive like you have normal street tires. The only problem is a flat with no run flat.

so the 305/35/19 will fit is what your saying correct? what size front tire should I have to stay within the correct ratio, because I know that nitto 305/35/19 is a little taller than normal(27.44 in)
The Nitto NTO5 305/35-19 tire dia. is 27.44" & the M/T 305/35-19 tire dia. is 27.9" and the Goodyear 285/35-ZR19 tire dia. is 26.9" .Some how much would Nitto 1/2" and the M/T 1" effect the speedometer?I am leaning towards the Nitto because of their price. Is it worth the extra $$$ for the M/T?
If you willing to run a 27.5 inch rear, get the 295/45R17 MT. You will need at least a 255/50R18 front, if not a 265/40R18 front to get it within the 1-1.5 inch difference.
so between the front tire diameter and the rear diameter I just have to stay between 1-1.5 inch difference? and that's what keeps the AH from messing up?
