What's up guys, about 5 months ago I bought a c6 with 44k and now it's at 51k miles and I doubt the previous owner changed out any trans, diff fluids. I did some research and I just wanted to clarify the amount and type of fluid before I made the order.

Any suggestions on best place to order it from? Thanks in advance.
I haven't bought Redline D4-ATF in over 10 years but what I remember is that it is generally sold at retail stores/shops such as high performance auto stores. Redline's website should have a link for retail stores in your area where you can buy their products. I don't know if Redline has an online webstore like AMSOIL.

If Red Line is your choice, then yes you have the correct fluid (really D4 ATF). Pretty sure your diff capacity is only two quarts, not three.
These are the fluids I used in my 02 Z06 until 2004 when I shifted to AMSOIL fluids. I think Summit Racing is a good online source for Red Line products though I haven't checked their pricing vs. anyone else (but I do buy a bunch of stuff from them and haven't been disappointed in their service).

What was the reason you switched to amsoil? I do drag race somewhat often.

Redline products all the way...big improvement on mine.....dont forget the mini pumps...you cant do the job w/o them...about the quantity, as long as the car is level fill both the tranny and differential until the new fluid starts sipping out of the fill bolt hole.
there are plenty of posts in here about it..good luck...

Long story and not really related to Red Line. I used Mobil 1 15w50 engine oil at the track my first season in the SCCA in 2003 as recommended to me by the team that prepped my car (and interestingly is the oil now recommended in the C7 owner's manual for the track). Lost an engine the first year due to seized #3, 4 piston rod bearings. At the time had Red Line in tranny and diff.
Between the 03 and 04 seasons I decided to educate myself on lubricants. Really was comparing Mobil 1 to Red Line and Royal Purple. Short story is I discovered AMSOIL, felt they were the best fit and went to them throughout (engine, tranny, diff, etc). Started selling AMSOIL about half a year later.
Red Line is good fluid, but I saw a lot of info on the oil forums that made me question their quality control (e.g. is one bottle really the same as the next). This was a long time ago and can't attest to them now. AMSOIL is ISO 9001:2008 which gives me confidence that I am getting a uniform product (and I've been doing used oil analysis on my various cars for about 10 years now and haven't ever detected a problem).

Thanks for the feedback. I do have one final question. Do you by chance know what the OE Fluids are as far as part numbers go for my 06? My dealer really didnt know...which was kind of odd. I work at a GM dealer so pricing should be better but for some reason they didnt know exactly and were speaking of something like 100 a quart for diff fluid?

Good reason to run as far as you can. $100 per quart for DEXRON LS diff fluid is absolute gouging. Many here over the past few years have reported paying something like $25/qt at GM dealerships for DEX LS. You can buy AMSOIL Severe Gear 75W90 for less than $15/qt the last I looked several years ago. I used AMSOIL Severe Gear 75W90 to stop chattering in two vettes well before DEXRON LS was introduced as factory fill for MY2009 vettes.

I put a lot of confidence in AMSOIL products and how Severe Gear specifically has performed for me. I have bought a gallon jug of the Torque-Drive ATD tranny fluid that I intend at 20k miles to install in my 2011 ZR1 in the near future. I ordered the ATD rather than ATF per your recommendations from a year or so ago.

The factory fluids have changed since your car came out. The current correct ones:
- Tranny: 88861800 (replaced Dexron III - and note the OE fluid is not synthetic)
- Diff: 88862624 (this is Dexron LS 75w90 as mentioned above)
Note that the GM Dexron LS has lots of friction modifier in it and extra shouldn't be needed to prevent diff chatter.
