My new 08 has the navigation system and on the page where you pick the region there are 10 regions plus Canada, then there is a list to pick from. The only problem is my list only has regions 1-7 plus Canada, worst part is I live in region 9 !! Any one know what the problem is
Yeah, sorry, I don't have the factory Nav so I'm not up on the particulars. As Cherokee suggested above I'm sure you could just buy a later 1 disc release version.
I suggest you go over to the C6 General Forum and ask about getting a newer, 1 disc version for your '08.

Thanks Deano
The 2008 came with 2 disc's. You said New 08? I bought mine with a GM warranty and they gave me the 2013 1 disc free as part of my 12 month 12,000 mile warranty.

It doesn't work that way. You'll need that correct disk in the unit all the time. That's where the maps are stored.
What you need to do is see if someone (who has a set of two) will let you have the disk that they don't/won't need. My 2007 came with two disks. Being in California and it being very unlikely I am ever going to have the thing back east, I just gave that disk to someone back there who needed one. Easy enough.
I brought a copy from a guy here for $25.00,but I've only used it once & it worked..
God I hate to sound stupid, but if there are two disc and they have to be installed to run, how do you put something in the player if your using the GPS.that would fill both slots You cant play music at the same time ?

1. There is a separate slot for the nav system disk.
2. You only have to have ONE nav disk in - the one that's relevant to where you are.
