Traction control system 08 6.2 vette manual
Hi guys. I am a virgin to this forum so I apologise in advance for for my innocense! I have a C3 but when I retired I thought it would be a great idea to buy a C6 for my wife as a " big birthday " present! The older guys will understand what I am talking about! What has happened is that the TC light has come on for no apparent reason and turns itself on and off for no apparent reason. My friend who is a mechanic looked at it to see if there were any codes in the system with his snap on tool but nothing showed. I probably have done something wrong but would appreciate some advice. I live in Northern Ireland but to get to a corvette dealer would need a visit to England which would cost about £500(750$) before even paying them so you can see why I need some help. Yes It shows the message to service the system on the dash. It comes on intermittently. When you start the car the light stays on but you can drive with no signs of any problems. Stop the car, come back and start it again and the light goes off! It started 4 weeks ago when I stopped on a country road to let a truck pass. One rear wheel was on the road and the other on the loose gravel on the side of the road. When I started again I had grip on one side and the other wheel started to slip. The light came on and stayed on for some time before it appeared to reset itdelf. From then on it comes on and off at random. Thanks Tony
