Default Cam for mid 10's

Guys,
It's a 2009, ls3 vette, auto with the fallowing mod's
-1.78 long tube headers & off-road X-pipe.
-Haltech 107 super bee CAI
-ASP under drive pulley
- Yank SS 3600 stall convertor

Am aiming to hit mid tens at the track. It's a weekend car and full weight.
Looking for cam recommendation from users/experts to meet my gaol.
I was looking at the
TSP 235/239 111
Pat G's 230/238 113
Night furry 230/242 113

Appreciate your feedback.

Pat's cam was the one I was planning to go with (I even bought it). Very good cam, just too much for my stock stall so I went smaller. You should be fine with your converter.

A camshaft alone is not going to do the job. When chasing an ET, it's the ENTIRE combination that allows you to reach your goal. The cam helps the engine make more power, but if the power delivery is in the wrong place or the car can't put it to the ground then it doesn't matter what kind of RWHP # the engine makes.

Tires, weight, stall speed, track conditions...all play a factor.

That said, your mod list looks pretty good so far. The Yank SS3600 is an excellent choice. On camshafts, if I "had" to pick one I'd say the Night Fury simply because it's valve events (at first glance) look better than the others. The LS3 engines like a LOT of duration split for best performance. After hundreds of hours of R&D we've found that 12-16 degrees of split will yield the best results paired with the LS3/L92 cylinder head casting.

We do not sell camshafts directly but I'll be more than happy to help you spec something via PM and call it in to our cam vendor for order. Let me know if we can help. Good luck!

Sweet,
Yeah, truck conditions and tires are considered of course.
I'll be using weld RTS for this car.
Now again, so far one recommendation for the night furry.
Am just confused and in need to know.. Will a big cam such as the TSP 235/239 111 help my 60F like a smaller cam 230/238 113?
It's all about the 60F. As all cams will perform close to each other at the top end with a difference of 5 to 10hp.
Am trying to get the closes Mach for my setup with my 3600 stall convertor for the best 60F

Without knowing the ground in advance, they all have a similar IVC if the same. Which generally determines the power band, so I don't believe you'll see a substantial difference between the two. Not sure where you plan to shift at, but I agree with Josh that the last one with the bigger split will help the efficiency up top and broaden the powerband. Hope that helps, good luck at the track!

Mid 10's are not going to be easy. In checking the performance list, there are several A6 LS2/3 bolt ons and internals running high 10's, but the only A6 that's been quicker than 10.75, has been a 10.62.

Without mineshaft air or more complementing mods, the addition of only a cam is going to leave you short of your goal.

I managed a best of 10.51 with the unported LS3 heads on my LS2 vert with a custom grind cam. It was 231/240 617/613 on a 114+2 > If your interested I'll look up my grind number. With great air and CNC ported stock LS3 heads I still hold the lS2 record at 10.15
