Default Headers bolts

My headers are leaking at four different places on both banks,I have new OEM gaskets and bolts. My question is: Is it recommended to put threadlocked or anti-seize on the bots? Thanks....

Either those gaskets are no good or the header flange must not be straight...
Definitely not thread locker!! a lil anti seize would be ok, but wont prevent it from backing out

The shop that installed the headers used the original OEM gaskets & bolts It's a (08) The headers are Ar's.I hope it is the gaskets,I'm not sure if the Ar's have a warranty?.........

What brand of headers?

I have B&B Headers, 7 years, stock gasket, no leaks. I used ARP studs.

I'm running AR Headers and have seen no leaks. When I installed them I used new GM gaskets and ARP studs. If your installer used the old gaskets, that's probably your problem. I doubt that the AR flanges aren't true or warped.

AR is a good product. Since you have to take all the bolts out to replace the gasket, I would put a straight edge on the flange to see if it is flat.

I called American racing & Steve said to put new OEM gaskets & new OEM bolts.I got my order from gmpartshouse & I was checking out the new bolts & they are 1/2" head?? They should be 13mm..Got me thinking about why GM would use American standard..

1/2" = 12.7 mm, you may tell the difference with a new wrench but not much.
