P0974 A4 code
Last year had the trans flushed at dealer despite naysaying I read here.(should have followed the majority opinion and not flushed, I guess) On the way back to OH from SC trans temps rose to 215 deg 2 miles from home. A tranny mechanic nearby read the code P0974. It began to shift strangely, a clunk between 2 and 3 and a few other limp mode characteristics. So, verdict: seems the 1-2 shift solenoid is in trouble.
Question: Not knowing much about transmissions, what should I expect in terms of a repair? Anybody else dealt with this?
2005 c6 A4 61K miles, driven conservatively.
