Default Identify Fuel Problem

Started up my car yesterday and it idled really rough died and would not start after.
It did that last week too but recovered quickly and went back to running normally.
Took it to the shop and they said its related to the fuel system but they cant say what specifically and told me to go to the dealer.
I've been having a code 0455 for a while and I know it's because the
nipple on the intake manifold that attaches to the fuel pressure relief emmisions thingy broke.
I jb welded the nipple shut so the car wouldn't run lean and drilled the emission line so it would vent into the hood.
This was supposed to be a temporary fix until I could afford a new lingenfelter manifold.
I really don't wanna spend thousands of dollars on having the dealer mess with this, someone please tell me some possible causes, I'm completely lost here.
Thanks

possible fuel pump. Open the fuel cap in case venting is plugged. You can remove the fuel line from the fuel rail and power up the car to see if fuel flows. Its good to do this with help or you'll have fuel everywhere. The tool to remove the fuel line is $5 at most aps.
Wish I could be more help

I had a problem similar to this. My line from the tank to the engine was plugged. I blew it out with compressed air and the car has been fine ever since.

They did a fuel pressure test and think it's the pump. I did run it pretty low two weeks ago so maybe that's what did them in.
They're telling me they need to drop the trans and are gonna charge me 10.5 hours of labor but I remember reading that if you have a manual you don't need to drop the trans.
How would you find out if i have a plugged line, just disconnect it back by the tank?? Thanks

If you look under the car at the rear of the tank, you'll see a stainless steel loop (u-shape). Disconnect it there and at the left fuel rail. Then you can blow air into it.

You don't need to remove the trans to remove the tank. I have done it twice. Try to find a dealer that the technician has done it before. He'll be able to do it without trans removal. you will want to remove the exhaust axle back components and maybe the mid pipe.
