I spoke with Patrick on Friday. He is waiting on patent approvals on more than one item in the design but hoping to move into production in 3-4 weeks. I wish I would have posted this Friday instead of 11.28 pm Monday, it was a long conversation and I honestly forgot some of the details. The design has been tweaked a number of times since the engine dyno video and resulted in noteworthy performance gains across the board and subtle changes in appearance. It's clear he is throwing his best into this project and others going on along side of it with cross pollination of best practices going into the VRX. As expected it can be configured for 90mm - 105mm throttle body depending on your build. I cannot remember with great detail all that Patrick said as a lot was over my head, but I'm fully expecting the VRX to set the benchmark for intake manifolds.

My experience with patents has been that patent protection documentation, aka patent pending, only takes days after the application has been filed. Once the file has been given a number, you can reveal the invention publicly. Production is not tied to patent protection, but it's not smart to sell anything prior to getting a patent pending approval. The actual patent itself takes much longer, is more involved, and more expensive, yet is not needed upfront. The patent pending is only good for 12 months.
Now those were how the patent office rules were during the last decade and may not be the same today. I also spent far more money for patents than they were worth.

But back to the manifolds. I'll be watching this closely, since I suspect it'll outperform my ported LS3 manifold and therefore be on my next mod list.

I'm curious to see how it will perform compared to my ported FAST90 and if the gains will be worth the swap.........

My understanding was additional patents resulting from R & D upgrades while waiting for first patents to be granted. Tooling is complete on original patents and tooling beginning on latest patents still pending....expecting approval any day. Several optional variations mentioned for VRX including dual throttle bodies but not for now as far as I know.

Any idea on price? Ballpark at least? Is this going to be in the FAST arena or are we talking the carbon XR stratosphere?

I love the idea of a dual TB intake manifold that will fit cathedral port heads. Cant afford anything near the carbon XR price point though. If it were in line with the FAST pricing, I would definitely figure out a way to attain it

LS2 here. If final version is as good as you say it is....I would probably purchase.

Anyone spoken to them recently? We are at the 3-4 week mark and I am running out of time to pick an intake for my build.

I won't say the number I was told but it's more than the gains in the video posted comparing to LS3 oem intake.

The latest version looks a little different than in video above. I have not seen picture, just told about the refinements.
