Need for a tune?

I have a base "06" coupe auto I'd like to put headers on. I don't track, race or drive wild & crazy, I just want headers for no particular reason other than I want headers. Question is, by installing headers without a tune will I get codes requiring a tune? Will life go on as usual without any issues? I have seen threads where people want that
last one hundredth of a HP and another tenth off in the quarter mile, I'm not interested in that. I just want to install headers and call it a day. Any thoughts or advice? Thanks in advance, Ron

in short..yes..it will throw a code without a tune.
