Default ERL or Dart block?

I had the wonderful experience of seeing my C6 Z06 make a nice puff of smoke on the dyno this past thursday. The result throwing a rod in the # cyl So i'm looking to get info on experience with both companies. The cheaper the better.

I've already talked to some of my sponsors so Mahle Manley and Clevite and a few other companies are going to send me new internals. I'm staying N/A I'm making over 530rwhp on my z06 with the current setup. Oo i'm not looking to go much over 600rwhp .

I'd really appreciate everyone's information and input

Thank you

I know you've set your near term rwhp/rwtq goals, but have you stepped back to take a longer term view? I ask because of the importance of building in a little buffer for future expansion. Both ERL and Dart are stout blocks. I don't know how repairable they are if something happens to the block. Also, what's the cost of getting them in 6 bolt configuration?

If you can spring for it, it'd recommed the RHS 6 bolt block. I know others have done really well with ERL (Nick Yoskin is at crazy power levels with his ERL 4 bolt). Haven't heard much about Dart except from the really crazy builds which means you're past RHS costs. I've had great success with the RHS block, including repair, which is not likely on your immediate radar, but something to thing about.

Sorry to hear about the engine failure, but happy you've got a bunch of really great options. Good luck.

Thanks I really don't like the idea of me spending that type of money on a block alone. I've heard nothing but great things about them. But I might give them a call .

No reason to resleeve a new ls7 block. If you can send yours in and get sleeved then do that, otherwise just buy a new ls7 block.

You don't do that, you send them an ls2. I have a hook up with GM so the blocks are cheap.
