Default weird noise

Hey guys a little while back my car was in the garage and my mechanic said I will need a new set of breaks after this summer. Its a 2006 ls2 manual. After that I was heating a bit of squealing from time to time when breaking. I also had the rear end noise and upgraded the diff fluid and done the figure 8s. Worked perfect. A few days ago I laid a little rubber and immediately the squealing got bad and I drove for about a min after.when I came to a stop the squealing was there followed by a weird grinding noise. I got out had a little look but couldnt see anything. The noise continued for a few more miles then went away. Any ideas guys what this is. Could it be a ROK or something in the wheel or is it just time to gt new breaks. What's everybody's opinion.

1st thing, learn how to use spell check, it's hard to even read your post. This isn't a text....

2nd, it's pretty easy to look at the edge of the pads, get a small mirror and maybe a flashlight, and you should see how much of the pad is left.

But if you trust your mechanic, go get your brakes serviced........
