Default Help With Z06

I have an 08 z06 with 73k miles. I broke a side cover on the differential and replaced it. Reset the preload with the correct shim and checked the pattern on the ring and pinion. All was good. I drove to work 60 miles round trip, highway...no whining or unusual noises coming from the rear end. Another 20 miles of city driving maybe, and I noticed the differential leaking again.
I took it to my friends shop put it on the lift and sure enough cracked in the exact same spot.
Anyone have an idea what would be causing this or has seen this before, ie wheel hop but I never beat on this cover like I did the last.
Could some other culprit be at work here, ie mounts, shocks, etc everything seems fine. Ordered a new case cover and will be assembling tomorrow or Sunday. Please help or ask around.
Thank You

Perhaps the housing itself is bent and/or cracked.

I am definitely going to inspect and will check everything well. I also plan on putting new transmission mounts and engine mounts on.
