When you change it order a C5 axle. They are stronger than the C6 and a direct replacement. I would use a GM part only myself, although others seem to claim that some jobber ones are ok.

Avoid wheel hop which is what usually breaks these.

Tell us more - meaning, are you running at the drag strip, using drag radials, getting wheel hop, or any other thing to note?

I know my 2011 Grand Sport has a ZR1 half shaft on the driver's side (apparently only certain ones that had the F55 suspension option got the ZR1 shaft from the factory...), so that may also be an option to consider.

I snapped my driverside last week, and I only had a catback on an auto LS2. So probably 350ish rwhp. I put in a C5, hopefully it will hold up.

So now I'm wondering what they put in the ZO6. Is it the same as the standard coupe or are they using something stronger?

Seems like 2009 and up are stronger, but I'm still not sure either.

Here are 2 threads with more info to read through....

http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c6-z...t-install.html

and, http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c6-t...e-factory.html

From what I'm reading, it looks like the C5 axle is the way to go.....

2010 is different than a C5. I think it changed in 2009.
