Default Quick Corsa Sport Install Question

I am about to attempt to install the Corsa Sport Exhaust on a 2006 coupe with the manual 6 speed transmission. Hopefully I can get the stock exhaust off using ramps and jacks... I did this on a C5 and its tricky... Anyway, does anyone know if it is necessary to remove the factory H pipe if I did not but the Corsa Crossover Pipe. I only bought the Sport System with the over the axle pipes and the mufflers with the quad tips. Some advise from others that have done this would be much appreciated. Thanks..

Absolutely not. Cut your existing pipe and connect your axle back as the instructions show.

I forgot to mention that I want to keep the stock exhaust in tact without cutting them....

You have two choices then. Put on a set of headers and the matching x-pipe or get the Corsa x. If you look hard enough you may find a factory x or h that has already been changed out.

You can use your stock H-pipe. I did on my 06 when I installed Corsa Sports right after I bought it new in 06. Dropping the front of the H-pipe will give you more wiggle room to get the muffler joints loose from the H-pipe when you are removing the stockers.

Thanks for the replies…… As it turned out, I had to cut the very end of the stock pipes to free them from the H-Pipe. But all is well…. I did want to mention that once the mufflers were free from the H-pipe I was able to work them over the axle and completely remove them from the car......while the car was just on four standard ramps, no additional "jacking up" was needed.. This was not able to be done on the C5 because a lot more clearance was needed. The Corsa Sports sound real good to me, a nice rich tone while doing regular driving and the few minutes I spent driving around 75 mph in 6th gear seem to be just a little louder then stock and no drone……. Very nice. So far I’m real pleased with the decision to go with the Corsa Sports. I don’t really know if they will change as they break in and age a bit. I will just have to wait and see.

They won't change much, if any, over time. I've had my Corsas on my 06 since it was new and they have the same great sound after 8 years of use. And still no drone
