I have a 2012 Corvette C6 AT. I am looking to do some performance mods to get a bit more horsepower. Just looking to be faster than a stock vette that pulls up next to me at the light or going down the highway.
I want to do some mods but dont want to void my warranty as I still have 3 years Powertrain and I only have 13k miles on it. Please help with any mods that will get me more power or even more power to the wheels.
Also wondering about suspension...how do I know if I have the magnetic suspension??? I drove a z51 and it seemed much stiffer than my current stock setup, I seem to have a bit of body roll on slower cornering and would like to get that fixed as well? Any suggestions on that?

Not going anywhere near the warranty question. Regarding the Magnetic suspension, if you have it there should be a **** on your console to switch between Sport and Tour. You can also look in your glovebox for F55 on the options list. With body roll, you can install the Z51 sway bars and bushings, and it should help without stiffening the ride up too much.
Anything that would give you appreciable HP gains is going to have the potential to void your warranty. You have to decide if you'd rather be fast, or rather be covered under warranty no matter what happens. Any time I start modding I do as much research as I can and mod in such a way so as to hopefully mitigate the chance of a failure, but I also accept that there is a potential for things to go wrong and that if they do, I will most likely be eating the cost.
That being said, headers+tune would wake the car up (around 30-40 whp or so more) and, while the tune will be detectable by the dealer (well, I have heard that this is not the case for the Diablo tuner but I check into that yourself.), the amount you would be "pushing" the engine is not much of anything at all and you should be relatively safe.
Just getting an intake should be okay (as long as you pull it off before going to the dealer), but the actual benefit they provide is questionable and IMHO you'd be better of spending that money on a tune/headers/both.
Just my .02. I haven't been into the vette world for long at all. I just got mine 5 months ago and it still has 1 yr powertrain left. As much as I'd like to mod it, I'm going to wait until it's paid off at the very least before I do so.
jakk is correct but imo, there are no LT headers that will pass CA visual checks. I'd also suggest that most air intakes won't get a claim for warranty work denied unless you ingest water at a lower location than stock, or if the air intake leaks air and dirt from some locations. this is similar to a catback exhaust system. still, there are dealers who will state or try to deny a warranty work claim with different wheels on the car. so, things can vary even if GM doesn't mind an intake or exhaust system (catback, not headers).
