Default ac clutch not engaging

Just got my car back and my ac blows hot air. Used to blow Ice cold. The clutch won't engage. Put a gauge on low side and it was low so charged her up and the clutch won't engage. Just wasted $30 on Freon. Is there a way to jump the clutch a wire to engage clutch. I used to jump mine on my 92.

It is impossible to know if the charge is or is not correct without the compressor in the run cycle. You need to check for voltage at the compressor. If not it could be low or high pressure switch out or relay in fuse block.

You should be able to stick a paperclip and engage clutch to get Freon in. I used to do it on my old vet just need to know what pins to cross.

"Just got my car back" tells me someone was working on it - what was being done (?) and maybe they were responsible. The C4 system is pretty simple - my best guess the C6 system needs some Tech 2 intervention to get the compressor engaged.

With the compressor not running, the high side and low side pressures will be the same...the entire system equalizes when shut off. There is no way to know the charge level at this point and no way to know how much more to put in.

Well upon further investigation the culprit was found. I finally took the time to Jack my low *** car up and found the shop didn't plug in the compressor. Couldn't see from the top do to big *** F1 procharger. A/C is Ice cold. Now to the next problem. Which will be posted in forced induction section shortly. Stay tuned.

It may be working now but if you in fact altered the factory refrigerant charge, it cannot function properly. These systems are charged by weight and are extremely sensitive.

You need to start it up and check the freon if you added a significant amount. The C6 system is sensitive to the freon charge.
